MISSION OF COFREPECHE FOR THE FISHING PORT OF NOUAHDIBOU

COFREPECHE’s team is currently in Mauritania as part of the project to modernize Nouadhibou’s artisanal fishing port, implemented with Inros Lackner. This project started in September 2019 and last for 48 months.

The project aims at improving the EPBR services for artisanal fisheries in Nouadhibou. It contributes to food security in Mauritania as well as in other countries of West Africa. It also helps to use the fishery resource in a more sustainable way through a more efficient and hygienic treatment of landed fish.

In this context, the team met with the stakeholders, including the General Manager and the Director of Operations of the Port of Baie du Repos (EPBR). They participated in the visit of the fishing port accompanied by the project experts.
