PARTICIPATION OF COFREPECHE AT “AQUACULTURE AFRICA 2021”

The event “Aquaculture Africa 2021” took place from March 25 to 28 in Alexandria. Conferences, meetings, visits and talks were organised about the sustainable aquaculture development challenges. Our aquaculture expert on the technical assistance to IORA funded by AFD presented our work on the review of aquaculture, governance and development of small-scale aquaculture in the IORA region. In the context of the technical assistance to IORA, COFREPECHE supports the implementation of the Work Plan of the Working Group on Blue Economy which includes as objective, among others, promoting sustainable aquaculture development.

The report sets a general review of aquaculture in the IORA region. It also describes the organisation, social and economic aspects of the activity. Then it offers governance and sector development approach. The full document is available here.
